Welcoming Spring

As we watch snowflakes gently falling outside, we can't help but check the calendar in disbelief. Yes, it's really spring! Here at BluBlu, we're already donning our sunglasses and celebrating this time of rebirth in our own unique way - by unleashing our creative passion. Our cover artwork, created by Art Director and Lead Illustrator Jagoda Klaczyńska, is a testament to the power of second chances and new beginnings. Welcome to spring, and welcome to the April edition of BluBlu Newsletter.

Natural Atlas - Behance Recognition

We're thrilled to announce that our Natural Atlas animation received an "Ae" badge from Behance in March! This recognition, coupled with our inclusion in the Stash collection, is truly an honor. Continuing the spring theme, we invite you to revisit this animation and join us in looking forward to long walks among lush greenery and birdsong.

Celebrating St. Patrick’s Day with Walt Disney World

On March 17th, the world celebrated St. Patrick's Day, an Irish holiday known for its vibrant green color and the lucky four-leaf clover. We were delighted to join in the festivities with Walt Disney World by creating a series of short and sweet animations for the occasion. Enjoy!

International Women's Day

March is a month of significant events, including the International Women’s Day celebration. It honors women’s achievements in all aspects of life and emphasizes their significant contributions to society. It also encourages us to work toward gender equality. Our lead artist, Maciej Kachel, prepared a special illustration to commemorate this noteworthy occasion. At BluBlu, we are proud to work alongside amazing women who inspire us daily with their leadership, innovation, and creativity.

We were also proud to contribute designs and artwork for Alibaba and the Wall Street Journal to help celebrate this special day.

The AI is Blooming

Generative AI evokes both awe and controversy, especially within the artistic community. As creators, we value the authenticity of our work, while as technology enthusiasts, we recognize AI's potential to impact our creativity. We believe that AI can be a tool for expanding the unique visions of designers, directors, illustrators, animators, and artists. As a sneak peek of our first tests, here’s a small sample created by our lead animator, Miłosz Kokociński, using our logo and text-to-image generative AI.

Project Struggles - BluBlu's Self-made Boardgame

Switching from AI to IRL, we recently enjoyed playing a board game of our own creation called "Project Struggles." In this game, players take on the roles of artists aiming to complete an animation project, from briefing to final execution. The path to success is filled with picky feedback and numerous revision rounds, making for a fun and challenging experience. Check out the highlights reel from our gameplay.
